Who Wrote Complaint To Underground Worker For Addressing In Belarusian?

A Minsk subway worker has learned Scaryna and Kupala’s language under her own steam, having arrived in Belarus from Tashkent.

Activist Zmitser Dashkevich writes on Facebook about an incident, which happened in the Minsk underground. According to him, a Russian, who arrived in Belarus "on his private business", wrote a complaint against a subway worker for the use of the Belarusian language.

" A black-haired lady from Tashkent works at the entrance of the Kupalouskaya / Kastrychnitskaya underground stations. Having moved into Belarus many years ago, she somehow got interested in the Belarusian history and language. At the time, when the Belarusians themselves say, "I find it easier in Russian," a woman from Tashkent speaks Skaryna and Kupala’s language and welcomes passengers in Belarusian ", – he writes.

"I call on all not indifferent ones to go there, ask for the book of complaints and suggestions and write notes of acknowledgement to the staff for using the Belarusian language," – Dashkevich suggests.

He also published a photograph of the woman for Belarusians to thank her personally, should an opportunity arise.
