Minsk has retained the 2016 tariff for oil transit.

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus has retained the current tariff for transportation of petroleum products through its territory at the level of $ 2.36 per 1 ton for every 100 km.

The information agency Prime reports this with the reference to the published resolution. The same tariff was applied in 2016.

The tariff is based on one of the articles of the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation while using the main oil pipelines, signed by Russia and Belarus. The unitary state enterprise "West-Transnefteprodukt" renders services on transportation of oil products.

Early in January, the Belarusian antimonopoly agency reported that Moscow and Minsk had not yet agreed on tariffs for oil transit through the territory of Belarus.

January 9, Russian Antimonopoly Service informed that the sides had failed to agree on tariffs for transportation of Russian oil in 2017, therefore (according to the established rules), the transit price would rise by the forecasted level of Russian inflation plus 3%.
