Foreign Companies Sabotaged Plan On Payment Of Taxes

Many of those whom the authorities lured as investors were unable to pay taxes to the budget.

The Ministry of Taxes and Levies has published a list of companies that had become indebted to the budget last year. Ezhednevnik ("Diary") has examined the black lists and found a lot of companies with foreign investments there.

One of the most well-known is the German trade and the agricultural society Stotz Agro Service, operating in Smaliavichy district. The company is registered in the black list of Minsk region, although not long ago it used to be an example of how beneficial it was for foreigners to invest in the Belarusian agriculture.

The developer RM Investment has got German roots, too. This is a development structure, created by the family of Mullers, which is supposed to construct a multifunctional center on Dziarzhynski Avenue. The construction, located near the Renaissance hotel, went quiet more than two years ago.

The Belterminal TLC Company, covered by the Brest list, is now partly owned by the Polish railways PKP Cargo, which bought it from the Czech group Advanced World Transit. The Czechs invested in this project in the late 2000s, intending to create a large transport and logistics center at the former Soviet military cargo transshipment point.

The Italian company BelAgrokultura and the Bulgarian company Naliboki-Nioman have become the "regulars" of the black lists.

Two Turkish companies – Minselko and Danish-Concrete – started the year among the debtors. The first one is the owner of the entertainment complex Zhuravinka, the second produces building materials in Lahoisk district.
