"Parasite’s" Heart-Cry: Who Authorized Government To Deprive My Child Of Food?

The authorities behave like thugs and racketeers of the 90-ies.

Rechytsa resident Dzmitry, who is bringing up his son, told praca-by.info, why he was deeply dismayed at the position of the state and why he didn't intend to pay "tax on parasitism".

Not long ago, Dzmitry received a notification letter, demanding to pay the "tax on parasitism". He says he won't pay it. That's how the Rechytsa resident explained his position.

– Even before the adoption of this immoral and humiliating for every Belarusian decree, my contract wasn't renewed. I couldn't find a new job.

However, since I am bringing my son actually alone (we broke up with his mother), almost all relatives at a family gathering suggested that I should devote myself to the bringing up of my child.

My son is 9 years old now. He is successful at the sport club and musical school – I pay for them. My son needs constant parenting support and control. For reasons beyond his control, after school he does not have time, because of big distance, to go home, to take the sport clothes or his instrument and go back to the training, or to attend the musical class. I bring it all to him personally, sport clothes, instrument, I wait for him and then take him home. It means, I am fully engaged in bringing up my son.

I do not lead an immoral life, and I am not a "parasite." But our government somehow thinks otherwise. And I wonder, on what basis and by what right our government is trying to seize our own money in the most brazen manner, just like thugs and racketeers of the 90-ies, while I deprive myself of everything in favor of my child and skimp to save some money. The money, which it, the government, not only didn't help to earn, but even has devalued it by several times.

Who has entitled the government, which must serve the people (it meant not only to take into account its interests and rights, but also to provide them), to put its hands into my child's mouth and take the last piece of food from there? Or perhaps they think he should walk half-naked in the winter? ..

Why does a simple hard worker has to stand with his hands outstretched, with a hungry stomach, in old bast shoes, and also pay taxes for illusory services, which, actually only officials can enjoy? Or they say that they are treated in the same place and in the same way as ordinary people?!

Besides bringing up my son, I was caring for my grandmother, who is more than 80 years old, all the time. I was keeping a garden and was growing vegetables, also, I was engaged in subsidiary farming. But all that was within the city, so it doesn't save me from the lawless taxes. This means, I neither take anything nor ask anything from the state.

And our government has never helped or supported me, or my child, or any other member of our family.

And if I took nothing from no one, then I don't owe anything to anybody.

We remind that the March of angry Belarusians demanding the abolition of the decree on "parasites", is to begin at 18-00 on February 17 on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.
