BNC Creates Military Commissions In Regions

Military commissions will be formed wherever there are united coalitions of democratic forces.

One of the leaders of the Belarusian National Congress, presidential candidate at the elections-2010 Mikalai Statkevich wrote that on his Facebook page.

BNC Rada Resolution "On the Regional Military Commissions"

In compliance with the paragraph 5 of the resolution of Rada of the Belarusian National Congress "On the establishment of the BNC Military Commission" of December 7, 2016, BNC regional military commissions are to be formed as a part of the regional coalitions of democratic forces. Heads of the regional military commissions are to be included in the BNC Military Commission.

The objectives of the regional military commissions:

1. Organization of military-patriotic education in order to prepare the citizens of the region to fulfill the constitutional duty to defend the independence of Belarus.

2. Analysis of the military’s sentiment, the degree of the military’s readiness to defend the country under aggression from all conceivable directions.

3. In the event of external aggression – helping public authorities to mobilize those liable for military service and countering aggression."

We remind that on December 14, 2016, the BNC Military Commission applied to the Ministry of Defence of Belarus with the program to strengthen the defense capacity of Belarus, consisting of 8 points. After the Minister of Defence Andrei Raukou refused to cooperate with Belarusian patriots in this direction, Mikalai Statkevich announced that the BNC Military Commission would deal with all the issues regarding the protection of the country against aggression from all directions.
