Apart from the military uniform, the Interior Minister passed the adherents of the “Russian World” in Shchuchyn the models of combat rifles.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunevich has passed the sets of the internal troops’ military uniform and other specialized equipment as a Christmas gift to the Orthodox military-patriotic club “Druzhina” named after Prince Alexander Nevski.

The festive ceremony of handing over the gift took place in the Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth in Shchuchyn and was attended by Chairman of Shchuchyn District Deputy Council Ivan Sakalouski, Chairman of Shchuchyn District Executive Committee Siarhei Lozhachnik and other officials, the local district newspaper “Dziannica” has reported.

Every underage fighter of the club, including girls, received a model of a combat rifle from the Interior Minister. Blogger zholik pays attention to this fact.

As previously informed, the leaders and church counselors of the club “Druzhina” actively promote the idea of the “Russian World” in Belarus and organizer the summer camps, in which they teach close fight and dealing with arms to the school students under the patronage of the Orthodox church, on a regular basis. They are trying to make “devoted children of the Sacred Russian Orthodox Church” out of young Belarusians this way.

Head of the operative-duty service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Shchuchyn District Executive Committee, Lieutenant-Colonel Pavel Naida is one of the leaders and coaches at “Druzhina”. His official position provides him unlimited access to the duty service premises and the weapons room of the police department.

Orthodox priest Aliansandr Pasterniak, the beneficiary of the churches of St. Michael the Archangel and the Epiphany, the Provost of the Shchuchyn county is the club’s ghostly father.

It seems notable that father Pasterniak’s wife Volha works as an inspector of the Criminal-Executive Inspectorate at Shchuchyn District Department of Internal Affairs. Before January 2010, she was an inspector on minors’ affairs, thus providing a rich inflow of troubled teenagers to the club.
