Lukashenka To People: Don't Rely On State

According to the ruler, the past year wasn't easy, especially what concerns the relations with our closest neighbors and partners.

The dictator said today, visiting the Holy Spirit Cathedral, that well-being and economic development in the country depend on the contribution of each inhabitant of the country.

"You can rely on the state, but only in those matters that the state should deal with: safety, the main directions of our development, – Lukashenka's press-service cites him. – In short, try to do what you can do for yourself. If you turn into yourself and address yourself, and do what you should do, the state and the government will make it worth your while. I promise you this."

He stressed that "the only thing we should see and we should deal with – the economy."

According to the ruler, the past year wasn't easy, especially what concerns the relations with our closest neighbors and partners: "This hindered us from approaching the planned objectives. But I think that this is a problem of the authorities. It can be solved."
