Mahiliou Activist: Freedom To Yauhen Afnahel!

The “European Belarus” coordinator needs solidarity and support.

Activist from Mahiliou Volha Tyshkevich called for solidarity with the “European Belarus” civil campaign coordinator Yauhen Afnahel, arrested for the participation in the action of protest against the West-2017 military drills, on her Facebook page.

On October 11, the politician’s relatives informed the website Charter97.org, that they had received a phone call from the Maskouski district police department in Minsk. The caller informed that Yauhen Afnahel had been detained and delivered to the center for isolation of law-breakers in the Akrestsin Street in Minsk to serve a 15-day administrative detention for the participation in the Warning Action, which was held back on September 8 in the Katsrychnitskaya Square in the capital.
