The stores continue to work even after the inspections by the customs service.

The shops of cheap clothes in three regional centers were checked by Homel customs officers. Clothes, shoes, haberdashery were confiscated in Rechytsa, Rahachou and Zhlobin. The reason for that was the lack of documents regarding the origin of goods, the website "Babruisk Courier" informs.

The story of discontent with such shops began this spring. True, they irritated only the individual entrepreneurs, the competitors of these sellers. After all, owners of these sales outlets have chosen low prices as the main "trump card". Due to this, the profits of other entrepreneurs have fallen dramatically. The latter sounded the alarm by sending letters to the controlling authorities, claiming violations, committed by the "Uzbek" stores (the entrepreneurs named them so). For example, they are accused of non-payment of various duties.

The entrepreneurs also complained about the absense of any inspections at the cheap clothing shops. To this, the trading departments replied there had been a moratorium on inspections, imposed by the presidential Decree #510. The Decree sounds as follows: “On impovement of the controlling (supervisory) activity in the Republic of Belarus”. This Decree prohibits any inspections for the term of two years since the moment of creation of a company.

However, there are exceptions. For example, monitoring is allowed. If violations are found, then guidance is sent to the management to remove them. This is how multiple monitorings were held over numerous applications and complaints.

And so, in September, a Babruisk shop of cheap clothes was visited by the financial police. They found almost Bn 7 K, presumably not taken into account. There were also no certificates for goods. Numerous administrative protocols were drawn up. This means big fines.

And now, the customs services published the results of the inspections in those district centers of Homel region. They were also held in September. It turned out that the mobile groups visited four shops in three towns. The result was total absense of any documentation for the goods. Correspondingly, the origin of goods is unknown.

Clothing and other goods were withdrawn for the sum of Bn 21 K. Homel customs started administrative proceedings for illegal business activities.

At the same time, the inspected stores continue to work. They have goods delivered, for example, in Rechytsa. And moreover, cheap clothing stores, first of all, satisfy the interests of ordinary citizens. Especially if we take into account the weak increase in the income of the population.
