"Dismissed" Pechy Unit Commander Is At Job

Commander of the 3rd Guards Training School for Specialists of Tank and Artillery Units of the 72nd Guards Joint Training Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, where deceased Aliaksandr Korzhych served, Lieutenant Colonel Aliaksandr Charnou is at his job.

It was found out by a Euroradio journalist, who called him on his office number.

We remind that after Aliaksandr Korzhych’s death caused a massive public outcry due to independent media, press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, head of the information department of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work, Colonel Uladzimir Makarau informed that the commander of the unit, where the deceased soldier had served, was dismissed from work.

– Five officers of the 72nd Combined Training Center, including the commander of the military unit where the conscript had served, have been dismissed by order of the Defense Minister of Belarus, for the failure to take exhaustive measures to maintain the statutory procedure. Four military officials have been dismissed from the Armed Forces, – head of the information department of the Defense Ministry Uladzimir Makarau said on October 14, the National television (ONT) broadcast.

Aliaksandr Charnou is the very officer, who has told journalist, Lieutenant Colonel Mikalai Makarevich, that every unit commander dreams about such a company sergeant as Artur Virbal. Makarevich’s publication, dedicated to Virbal, titled "Father of Soldiers," was published in the Unity newspaper of the Barysau district executive committee in September last year.

Now Artur Virbal is suspected of fraud, in particular, that he used Aliaksandr Korzhych’s bank card for his own purposes.
