Naftan Has No Money For 13th Salary

Erstwhile the richest enterprise in Belarus is in a "difficult financial and economic situation".

Naftan does not plan to pay employees the 13th salary on the results of this year's work. It was announced on the radio of the JSC Naftan by head of the organization of labor and salary of the company Katsiaryna Yafremava, tut.by writes.

– The source for payment of remuneration based on the results of the work for the year is the available funds, which remains at the Company’s disposal based on the results of production and economic activities and expenses, including on construction and reconstruction of technological facilities, – Katsiaryna Yafremava explains, answering the question about paying the 13th salary. – In connection with the complex financial and economic situation of the enterprise and the absence of sources in 2017, no compensation will be paid to Naftan employees in 2017.

The enterprise also does not plan to pay a special award for compliance with the requirements of labor protection, labor and production discipline.

– Since the level of labor productivity is below 100% in 2017, and in accordance with all the normative documents Naftan has to ensure the faster growth of labor productivity over the wage growth, no special award is paid for compliance with labor protection, labor and production discipline, – the expert informes. – The question of the award payment in the second half of 2017 will be considered on condition that the Naftan's break-even performance and the outstripping growth of labor productivity over the growth of wages are ensured.

Earlier it was reported that the increase in wages was not possible at the enterprise due to working at a loss and insufficient growth in the labor productivity over the wage growth.

Employees of the Navapolatsk oil refinery Naftan addressed to the authorities of the country with an open letter, demanding to check into the company’s awful state.
