BATE Sues Aliaksandr Vianherski For EUR 5K For White-Red-White Flag

The club sued the hero of the BATE-Arsenal game.

BATE filed a recourse claim against Aliaksandr Vianherski from Vileyka, who ran out onto the pitch with a white-red-white flag on September 28 during a match with Arsenal.

For this, BATE was fined by the Union of the European Football Associations in the amount of 5 thousand euros. The penalty was paid by the club in full, but now BATE decided to file a recourse claim against the public order violator in order to collect the aforesaid amount, the official website of the Barysau team informs.

This is not the first similar case in the history of BATE. Nevertheless, the return of funds to the club budget is by no means the reason for filing a claim. "All the fine, collected in case of a positive decision of the court, will go to charity," — the club officials noted.

The press-center of BATE said that it wants to remind all fans about the unacceptability of such behavior at the stadium and show that the club has legal mechanisms for the targeted punishment of the violators of public order.
