The leader of the solidarity movement "Razam" was fined for taking part in the action "Chain of Memory".

On November 20, the Partyzanski district court of Minsk fined opposition politician Viachaslau Siuchyk by 40 base fees (Bn 920, or $ 460), Radio Liberty reports.

"My son was tried for the" Chain of Memory "on October 29, when candles were lit near the KGB building. Again a big fine, although there was no violation of order," — mother of the activist Halina Siuchyk says.

According to her, Viachaslau Siuchyk did not attend the trial.

"Viachaslau is not in Minsk now," — Halina Siuchyk said.

On November 17, the Central district court of Minsk also fined Viachaslau Siuchyk for 40 base fees for the participation in the Outraged Belarusians’ March 2.0, which was held in Minsk on October 21.

On October 29, the "Chain of Memory" action was held near the entrance to the KGB. The action was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the shooting of more than one hundred Belarusian writers and public figures. Activists laid flowers and candles on the steps of the main entrance to the KGB.

The action was attended by several dozen people, including people who had not previously participated in opposition rallies. The participants of the "Chain of Memory" did not hold a rally. The police did not warn anyone that the action was not allowed.
