Lviv To Celebrate Day Of Heroes Of Belarus

Residents of Lviv will honor the memory of the heroes of the Slutsk armed uprising.

"Events dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Heroes of Belarus (anniversary of the Slut Uprising of 1920) will be held in Lviv on November 27, 2017. Representatives of the opposition forces of Belarus will take part therein.

November 27, 2017, the celebration of the Day of Heroes of Belarus – the day of Slutsk armed uprising, – will take place in Lviv. On this day in 1920, an uprising of Slutsk peasants began under the Belarusian white-red-white flag against the Moscow Bolsheviks in defense of the Belarusian People's Republic.

We believe that the Belarusian people together with the Ukrainian people will realize their historical choice of independence, European values and freedoms in the near future.

To celebrate the 97th anniversary of the Slutsk Armed Order, the delegation of the Solidarity Movement 'Razam' will come from Belarus to celebrate the event together with the Ukrainian friends," – the organizers of the event write.
