State Propagandist Call To Close Independent Websites

State Propagandist Call To Close Independent Websites

They do not like the comments of Belarusians on the Internet.

The call to close independent websites was made in the BT program "Editors’ Club."

In particular, Belteleradiocompany chairman Henadz Davydzka says that a "trench massacre" is taking place in the Belarusian information space:

– Recently, odious web sites have ceased to publish any analytics, they just give a piece of news, puting it in provocatively, and invite to discuss it. This news is like a door that opens to the hell of comments. And, when you join commenting, you get to the rally. The rally where everyone offends everyone, where all the participants are wearing masks, of course. You can't do it in the streets, but you can do it there. And they reproach, call for the overthrow, they write: crucify, kill and so on...

Pavel Yakubovich, the editor-in-chief of Sovetskaya Belorussia, said in turn:

– They do not even hide their goal – to change the constitutional system. With all the consequences. A large number of sponsors, who organize this war, are interested in this. There is a feeling that often it's not even visitors, not people who want to exchange opinions, but also some kind of technology. There is an information resource, engaged in politics. But it can not publish something about someone from hated government officials or just personal enemies. So, they create a forum and write there themselves on behalf of "screws", "boobies", "janissaries." There is no need to offend, oppress or drag anyone to court. But the time has come to shout out, so to speak, as in an operetta "Monsieur, take off the mask."

Siarhei Mikhavich, the editor-in-chief of Selskaya Hazeta, suggests that "competent authorities should use their existing capabilities":

– If these resources are launched in order to provoke those who got under influence, although this is a meager part of the population, and if they have lost their intended purpose, they should be simply shut down.
