The traffic police’s chasing the truck with the scrap metal in the Mstsislaul district ended with shooting on December 7. The driver of the ZIL tried to break through the border to Russia, looped through the fields, rammed the car of the traffic police, and then escaped. The man is on the wanted list, tut.by writes.

At about 3.00 p.m., two road traffic police inspectors saw an approaching truck without registration signs, on the road Mstsislaul-Paradzina - the Russian border, near the village of Paradzina. The ZIL was carrying scrap metal.

- The truck driver did not respond to the stop signal, moved to the field road and began to leave in the direction of the Russian Federation. The inspectors on the official car followed the offender, - said the representative of the regional traffic police Andrei Kolesnik.

The truck driver ingnored the demand to stop and tried to ram the traffic police car. The inspectors decided to shoot, the pursuit was already taking place in the forest. At first they shot in the air thrice. The ZIL did not stop. Another 13 shots were on the wheels, the rear left wheel of the truck was damaged.

The traffic police car got stuck in the mud. A loaded truck with a broken wheel drove 300 meters and stopped. When the inspectors ran to the cockpit, the driver was gone - he escaped. About 7 tons of black metal were found in the body of the ZIL.
