This has become known at the final board meeting of the Bellegprom.

Vice-PM of Belarus Uladzimir Siamashka who is handling the oil and gas issues with Russia on behalf of Belarus, has taken a flight to Moscow, Chairman of the Bellegprom concern Mikalai Yafimchyk has informed, belaruspartisan.org writes.

The final board meeting of the concern took place on Friday, and Siamashka was supposed to represent the government at that meeting.

"Unfortunately, an extraordinary situation has occurred. Uladzimir Siamashka will not be able to participate in our meeting as he has taken a flight to Moscow and asked to apologize for him,” – Yafimchyk said, opening the meeting of the board.

In turn, the representative of the Council of Ministers, who participated in the meeting, clarified that Siamashka had flown to Moscow upon the invitation of the Russian side and his departure was urgent.

The government’s press-center has confirmed that the governmental delegation headed by Vice-PM Siamashka flew to Moscow for the negotiations.

“However, there is nothing urgent about it. This is an ordinary working visit. The Vice-PM’s order on sending states the visit will last till February 12,” — Spokesman for the Vice Prime Minister Uladzislau Sychevich has said.

Important to note, Moscow and Minsk have been engaged in the oil and gas dispute for over a year. The recent negotiations of the Vice-Premiers of the two countries, Uladzimir Siamashka and Arkady Dvorkovich, were held on Saturday and ended in no results.

After them, Dvorkovich noted that they failed to agree on the proposals of the Belarusian side. However, Moscow is waiting for the new proposals from Minsk, as well as the total payment of the gas debt in the amount of $ 550 million.
