Volha Mikalaichyk: People Need to Turn Into Citizens

An activist believes that many people will appear at the March of Angry Belarusians.

"Angry Belarusians will not be alone - free ancestors with earth forks and scythes will stand invisibly behind," public activist Volha Mikalaichyk wrote.

A week left until the first mass rally against "decree on spongers". The March starts on February 17, 6 pm., Oktyabrskaya Square, Minsk.

In the interview to Belsat Volha expressed confidence that Lukashenka would hear those resented with Decree No. 3.

"There will be a lot of Lukashenka's people who will videotape it. I am sure that he will have to listen to activists."

She adds:

"People need to turn into citizens. Lukashenka's activity should be taken under control. No one but us can turn us into a normal nation."

The Belarusian National Congress is the march's organizer. It is headed by former presidential candidate and former political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich. According to the Rada of the Congress, Lukashenka's Decree goes contrary to the Constitution.
