We can only hold an equitable dialogue with the regime.

Leader of the radio-electronic industry trade union Henadz Fiadynich said that in his interview to Charter97.org.

– Chief editor of Narodnaya Volia Iosif Siaredzich proposed at a meeting with Lukashenka to hold a round table between the opposition and the government. What do you think of this idea?

– I support the requirements to the dialogue, proposed by leader of the European Belarus civil campaign Andrei Sannikov and leader of the organizing committee for creation of the BCD Pavel Seviarynets. And these requirements, – to hold free elections in Belarus and to preserve the independence of the country, – can only be implemented within the framework of an equitable dialogue between the government and opposition politicians.

In the first place, the dialogue is to be equitable, otherwise it can turn into a monologue. The responsible parties, who understand how to implement the voiced proposals, are to take part in the dialogue. I'm not sure that now Lukashenka is ready to negotiate with the really influential opposition politicians.

In my opinion, the matter of protecting the independence of Belarus is the most important theme of this dialogue.

– On February 17, the March of disgruntled Belarusians will be held in Minsk. The REP trade union has undertaken major efforts to organize the struggle against the decree on "parasites". What do you expect from the rally on February 17?

– I will tell openly: I will definitely go to the March. This will be the first event of such kind, but not the last one.

We, – those, who have applied for the rally, and ordinary people, who have signed up for the abolition of the decree, – have done a great job and we will not stop.

People’s indignation over the decree on "parasites" is growing, and we need to help people to get ready and hold rallies in regional centers and towns, where we have collected the biggest number of signatures. Now we are analyzing this information and in late February we will already know, where the people's indignation has manifested itself most strongly. I believe that after the March similar rallies must be held simultaneously in major cities, including Minsk.

The wave of popular discontent over the decree on "parasites" is not abating. Time passes, but people continue to sign for the abolition of the decree. The REP trade union has collected more than 12 thousand signatures, eight thousand of them have already been sent to the authorities. But I do not think that they will immediately agree with our requirements. To achieve our goals, we must be consistent and not to weaken the pressure on the authorities. We must act with confidence, and our pressure on the authorities must be on the rise.
