Price For Television And Internet Goes Up In Belarus

Beltelecom announced a change of tariffs for its services.

Access to byfly Internet, interactive TV ZALA, and international phone calls will become more expensive, tut.by reports.

The prices for the services will go up from March 1, 2027. The average amount of the cost increase is 9% if compared to the tariffs of 2016. The new prices are published on the company's website.

Many Internet tariff plans of byfly will become more expensive. For example, "Domosed Start" plan will be 14,2 Belarusian rubles per month (+9,2%), "Domosed XXL" - 16,5 rubles (+8,9%), "Domosed Ultra" — 22,5 rubles (not changed), "Domosed" — 16,5 rubles (+8,9%), "Record 10" — 15,5 rubles (+10,3%), «Record 25» — 20 rubles (+9,2%).

Calls from fixed phones will also become more expensive. For example, a daytime call to a mobile operator's number will cost 6.1 kopecks per minute (+ 8.9%) for individuals, a call to Russia or Ukraine - 39.25 kopecks (+ 9%).

Some users of interactive TV ZALA will also have to pay more. For example, the service package "Premiere" will cost 7.35 rubles per month (+ 8.8%). While the monthly fee for the package «ZALA: all inclusive» and «ZALA: the HD all-inclusive" will remain unchanged.

"Tariff policy of Beltelecom is focused on reining in price growth as long as possible: last time the prices for the tariffs were updated in December 2015, – the service provider says. – However, the continuous development of telecommunication technologies and providing guaranteed high quality of service is impossible without modernization of the network, acquisition of modern equipment, development of new technical solutions and services."

Not all the services provided by Beltelecom wil become more expensive. The service provider notes, that price for local and long distance telephone services, as well as price for access to the Internet via a guaranteed passband and the hosting services will remain unchanged.
