The Belarusians are actively discussing the Outraged Belarusians’ March.

The Charter97.org has collected some opinions from the social networks.

Natallia Samatyja:

- It’s the spring air of freedom! We did it, I believed we would! There hasn’t been anything like this since 2010. There were so many young people, middle-aged people, and, what’s important – so many men. This is so positive. I met so many friends from Minsk, Babrusik, Hrodna, Barysau. What people! Thank you, my dear, that you came, that you exist.

I hope for the best. I keep saying how great it was. I am not speaking about personalities. I am speaking about the mass, the spirit, the morale and overcoming of fear. Thank you for coming! And those who blabbered in the social networks and didn’t believe – ew on you! Long Live Belarus!

Raman Pratasevich:

- Literally two minutes ago, probably the biggest street action in Belarus since the election of 2010 has finished. What happened today has become an absolute revelation for everyone. For the whole time of the action, I couldn’t fight the feeling that our people actually could defend their views and their faith in the brighter future.

The prognoses regarding the non-sanctioned protest action, dedicated to the “social parasites” decree (the tax for unemployment, simply put) were not quite optimistic. The absolute majority of the “sofa warriors”, analysts and similar individuals shared the opinion that there would be no more than a thousand people. They were wrong.

Some media reported that only 2 thousand people participated in the demonstration. Well, it's a lie. Even by the most conservative estimates there were no less than four thousand people. This is confirmed by the numerous photos and videos of the event. Just take a look and you will understand everything. Comments are superfluous.

I was most pleasantly surprised by two things. The first - many absolutely ordinary people from the street, who occasionally let a tear and screamed frenziedly, came to the demonstration. And the second - is anarchists. They were a real surprise. Active slogans, bright and flashy posters, pyrotechnics. It seems that this new and young "hype" steered everyone up.

In general, I want to say one thing - it was the coolest action in many years. It will be more interesting further on.

Yury Vouchak:

- Today, we have witnessed the citizens’ determination, the increased degree of responsibility for what is happening in the country and the preparedness to make history.

By the end of the demonstration, the people burnt the tax notifications at the stairs of the Ministry on Taxation and Dues. Watching the fire, I recalled the burning fires of Maidan. God saves us from following the steps of our southern neighbours, but this experience should make many of those who are responsible for taking the state decisions in this country think and decide where to go: by the road of lawlessness and delinquency, or by the road of dialogue and compromise.

They should have started thinking long ago, but it’s not too late yet…

Anatol Shumchanka:

- Our entrepreneurs on the March:

"Everyone who came to the demonstration today: hats off to you, you are real, you are the best, you are the salt of the nation, and we will get rotten without salt…”
