Authorities "Resurrected" Homel Resident For Tax On "Parasitism"

A man, whose ex-wife believed him to be dead, has been reckoned among "parasites" in Homel.

This man, who had returned from Russia after more than a decade of absence in Belarus, contacted the tax office. During this time, the ex-wife thought that he was missing and, later, that he was dead. It took almost a year to restore his rights, due to which the man wasn’t able to get a job and automatically became a "parasite", the Soviet District writes.

The Chief of the Soviet district Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxation Kanstantsin Tratseuski advised that the man should apply to the municipal commission on the implementation of decree № 3, but he refused. He did not want his story get public and he wanted to avoid troubles at the new job.
