How Bakiyev’s House Which He Built Near Drazdy Looks Like

The house is located in Liabiazhy micro-district, close to the houses which belong to officials and athletes.

The former president of Kyrgyzstan has been living in Belarus for seven years. It is known that for the first time Kurmanbek Bakiyev stayed in the residence of Plavno, which Lukashenka himself recently told about. The other day, Bakiyev has confessed in an interview with Radio Liberty: in spring, he is going to move to a house that he has built in Minsk for five years.

The website nn.by has checked how the house of the former president of Kyrgyzstan looks like. It was known back in 2015 that Bakiyev’s house was under construction in the bankers’ street in Rzhavets. Back then, the house was built already, the builders worked on the interior. The locals told they saw the owner of the house there. They though he was about to move in.

However, it took another two years: Bakiyev confessed the other day he was going to move into the new house in spring.

We remind, Bakiyev has built a house in Liabiazhy micro-district (the former village of Rzhavets) in Mistrouskaya Steet, close to the houses of officials and athletes. The house stands out because of its fine architecture. The plot of land is sealed with a neat fence with forged elements.

There was no point in building a higher fence: a multi-storeyed residential complex “Braslauski” is located right behind Bakiyev’s land, and the demesne of the former president of Kyrgyzstan can be observed out of every window.

— Who could possibly imagine five years ago that there would be such a dense development here? — the builders who work at the Bakiyev’s house construction site reply with a question to the question. — People counted on the fact that there will be a reserved area here, that it will be quiet.

The builders have revealed no details of the house, referred the owner as “father” among themselves and reminded that they were forbidden to communicate with the press. However, it is clear without words what is happening there: on the roof of the house one of the workers rubs a pipe to make it shine, sets it inside a chimney; from the front entrance someone is taking out the cardboard package of the Smeg fridge.

A courtyard can be observed through the slightly opened gate: tiles are laid there, trees and shrubs are planted.

On the wall of the guest house there is the same picture as on the cover of Bakiev's book "Pain, Love, Hope: My Kyrgyzstan" — a herd of running horses.

On the site, apart from the mansion, there is also a gazebo, a guest house and a garage — all in the same style.

"By summer, everything will be ready, definitely," — one of the workers assured. — So there will be the housewarming party, be sure.”
