Activists called for assessing the situation in the country and get the information across to EU colleagues.

The appeal to the diplomatic missions of Lithuania and Poland in Hrodna was signed by representatives of democratic parties: the BCD, the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Narodnaya Hramada) and the United Civil Party, Radio Racyja reports.

"This is due to the massive violations of the country’s Constitution on the part of the authorities in terms of freedom of expression, processions, rallies," – activist Siarhei Verameyenka said.

"We appeal to them with an invitation to come to the court in Davatar street, 2a, at 10a.m. on March 14. In addition, we urge them to come to Gilbert Park at 6 pm on March 15. We want to invite representatives of the embassies to monitor the situation, which now exists in Belarus. And we ask them to pass their opinion and vision of the situation to the democratic structures of the European Union.
