Aerial Platform With Workers Falls During Repairs Of Academy Of Public Administration

The incident occurred this morning.

An aerial platform with two workers fell during the works on renovation of the building of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus In Minsk (Maskouskaya Street, 17). The incident happened on Friday morning. As BelTA has learned from spokesman for the Administration of the Investigatory Committee in Minsk Aliaksei Klimovich, the boom of the crane truck broke. The workers of 1950 and 1951 year of birth fell with the platform. The latter was hospitalized.

Nn.by adds that the workers of "Mingorsvet" suffered. According to the preliminary version, the cause of the accident was the failure of the mechanism in the aerial platform. The casualties remain in a "normal state"; one of them injured his finger.

The investigative team is working at the incident site.
