More Minskers Willing To Be Employed Abroad

The geography of employment has expanded this year.

In January - March 420 people left to work outside the country under the labor contracts signed and registered with the Department for the Citizenship and Migration of Minsk city executive committee, against 337 for the same period last year. Head of the Department for the Citizenship and Migration of Minsk city executive committee Yury Baranau has told this to "Minsk-news" agency.

The analysis shows that the geography of employment has expanded this year. About half of the workers (191) headed for Russia, 87 – for Poland, 44 – for Lithuania, 20 – for the USA. Belarusians also went to Japan, UK, China, Korea, the Czech Republic, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Hong Kong, Norway, Finland, France, Turkey and Taiwan.

72% were employed on working specialties, 19% - in the sphere of trade and services. 8% were engaged in agriculture. 1% of the departed left to fill the vacancies of skilled workers and professionals.

- 72 business entities in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, have a license to carry out activities related to the employment of citizens abroad, issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, – Yury Baranau has said. - Of these, 5 are engaged in employment of students during the summer holidays.
