Political Prisoner Viachaslau Kasinerau Released Before Trial

The activist was released from the Minsk remand prison No. 1 in Valadarski street.

A criminal case was opened Against Viachaslau Kasinerau for the performance, during which he threw a noose on a statue of the policemen of the Russian Empire era, installed near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Consideration of the criminal case is to begin at the Maskouski district court of Minsk at 10 o'clock on April 27, Svaboda reports.

On April 6, the Maskouski district court in camera considered the complaint of the activist to the measure of restraint. But then the court refused to release the activist under the written pledge not to leave country and left him in custody.

9 Belarusian human rights organizations in a joint statement called Kasinerau a political prisoner and demanded from the Belarusian authorities to stop criminal prosecution and release the activist immediately.
