Putin Declares Resolution of "Points at Issue" With Lukashenka, RIA Novosti Informs

The talks between the rulers of Russia and Belarus continue.

Moscow and Minsk agreed on the settlement of oil and gas dispute, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti informs.

"We agreed on the ways to settle all disputes in oil and gas sphere. They are settled, as well as terms for them", Putin said after the meeting with Lukashenka.

According to him, the relevant issues will be resolved within next 10 days.

"We have worked out a scheme, by which we maintain our approaches and bring our positions regarding prices closer. “We have found the possibility of mutual concessions and agreed upon work in this sphere for 2017-2019," Putin said.

The dispute that had lasted since the beginning of 2016 when Minsk announced unfair prices for the Russian gas and started to pay less was unresolved. In its turn, Russia declared reduction in duty free oil supplies to Belarus and explained it with underpayments for gas and short-delivery of petroleum products to Russia.
