Belarusians no longer believe the fake figures of the authorities, which do not corresppond with the reality.

If you listen to officials - Belarusians are almost in paradise: "parasites" were "employed" by May 1, by the end of the year they promise an average salary of one thousand rubles, the GDP in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 0,3%. However, no one believes in these empty promises.

What is really happening in the country? Leader of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union of the Radio-Electronic Industry Workers Henadz Fiadynich answered this question for belprauda.org.

Workplaces for "parasites" are freed at the expense of pensioners

– The government reported that GDP grew by 0,3% in the first quarter. Does the electronic industry agree with the official statistics?

– There is practically no radio-electronic industry in its former form - nothing to talk about.

They made all Saturdays working days at the Minsk Tractor Plant, in order to reach a salary of $ 400. The workers get Bn 800, and if they take away the Saturdays, they will receive only Bn 600. A working man gets his $ 400, however, due to the fact that the last veins are pulled from them. Instead of working in one shift, the worker works one and a half.

In developed countries, even 0,3% is a growth. But I'm very skeptical about the Belarusian figures: there is no push for the economic development. Even the leaders of enterprises are at a loss: old equipment, technology - the last century, they have to pay more than in Russia for energy carriers. Directors are required to issue products, but how to ensure quality? .. They were put in an idiotic situation.

All the old problems remain, there is no breakthrough in industry.

– Can Lukashenka’s demand to bring the average salary in industry to Bn 1K be fulfilled?

– There is an information about the enterprises where people work on Saturdays for the next December. The corresponding figures will be drawn, there is no doubt about it, but they will be achieved at the expense of the workers themselves. It's good that there is even such a job, but it’s impossible to earn 500 dollars working normally in one shift!

And what about the district centers, where the salary today is $ 100-150? At which expense will they raise their salaries at least to 300 dollars? At Navapolatsk "Naftan" or "Polymir" salaries are even higher than 350-400 dollars. But in the city, apart from them, only liquor and dairy plants work, all the rest stand still.

And what about Cherven, Slutsk, Dziarzhynsk, Baranavichy? Vorsha, Molodechno - the leaders of unemployment, and here it remains very hard to find a job.

The new Minister of Labor already reported that by May 1 the government had employed 85,000 unemployed. We asked each district center for information or a link to such information, how many they employed, on what salary, and how many people refused to work at all. We will analyze all the answers and prepare our monitoring.

We are ready, together with the vertical, to organize round tables locally; not because we want to control something or cooperate with the authorities, but because people live everywhere, and we have a desire to help them. And they want to live not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, but today. And then the deputy of Babruisk city executive committee declares: let the unemployed come, I’ll employ everyone, no enterprise will refuse. I told my activists: take three unemployed people and bring them to him until you find a decent job - and do it every day. Two or three people can be employed, but what about thousands of citizens?

– What is happening now in industrial enterprises? Are mass reductions still going on?

– It is known that pensioners are being actively laid-off now. There is an unspoken order that in villages, in district centers, at enterprises, retirees are cut to make room for potential "parasites". I personally know such facts in Brest region.

– What is the Belarusian industry facing in the foreseeable future?

– The government will throw dust into people’s eyes, reporting on the achievements that are impossible under the existing conditions. Kabiakou, naturally, wants to stay at his post for as long as possible, and therefore will report that we are "afloat."

– Will Kabiakou succeed in staying chairman of the government for a long time?

– In the existing conditions - unlikely. There are no grounds for the GDP growth, which is confirmed by the IMF forecasts, and paper figures simply will not correspond to reality: people have long ceased to believe in them.

– The socio-economic situation will deteriorate. The protests of the non-parasitess have passed, the dacha period has come, and will soon end. How will the people react?

– Those who got under repression are outraged even more. A lot of money is transferred to support families of the repressed - this has never happened before. This means that the Belarusians have become different. Today the Belarusians will not go into the streets under the slogans "Let's Take on to Street". There are specific problems that the government must solve; the government fails to do it - it means that we must go out and change this government.

The problem of "parasites" is not the only one. No less resonance is caused by the so-called "pension reform": the retirement age was increased in retrospective. Studies, military service, maternity leave are no longer included in the insurance experience...

Abroad, you can give birth to children all your life, because there is a coefficient that makes your pension not lower, but higher than the national average. The real state of health of the Belarusians also did not reach the level of Poland, Sweden, France, but to increase the retirement age, because there is no money - this is what the authorities are capable of. Should the people be blamed for the lack of money? No, the country's leadership is guilty. Why did a person get education, and you exclude this term from the work experience? And why did you keep silent before? Any country is interested in each person getting a better education. Not here.

– Isn’t the current retirement age for men - 63 years - the upper limit?

– The Ministry of Health does not provide information on how many Belarusians did not make it to the retirement age after the increase. After all, after death, the pension is lost, it does not go to his wife or children. But a man worked his whole life! Make a law: in case of death, a pension for a certain period goes to children. And in Belarus the Stalinist principle still works: no person - no problem. Is this human?

The victims of the new insurance period will make a toll of 800 thousand to a million people - from the current 4,5 million able-bodied population.

– It’s impossible to live, but one should live anyway. How?

– Many will make a Pole’s Card in order to seek a better life in Poland. In Hrodna, people sell cottages to go to Poland. Many will switch for free food.

Summer will come and go, as spring ended, without even beginning. All problems remained unresolved, they are driven even deeper. People have run out of money reserves. Families were on the verge of scandals due to the lack of money. All the old and new problems, whether Lukashenka wants it or not, will leap to the enterprises, to the organizations, and from them - to the street. Therefore now there is a pressure: lift wages at any cost and report.

– Will worsening of the socio-economic situation lead to new protests and emigration?

– Yes, exactly – it will lead to local protests and mass emigration. The best will leave.

– Is there a way out of this dead-end?

– It is necessary to put pressure on the leadership of the country everywhere with the demand to hold fair and transparent elections: under the new Electoral Code with the new squad of the Central Election Commission. Perhaps, the new government will leave in six months, because it will have to clean the Augean stables. If the authorities really make a person, a citizen the main value, and really do everything they can, then a civilized dialogue between the civil society and the authorities is possible.
