REP Trade Union Is Ready To Fight For Every Employee Of Milkavita

The case became high-profile due to the large number of respondents and the colossal amount of the claim.

Homel Milkavita has filed a lawsuit against its employees: now 205 people have to pay the employer about 70 thousand euros. The reason is the shortage of dairy raw materials discovered in February, which had been formed in three months, and now all the department employees are responsible for the shortage, regardless of the position (even the dismissed by now).

The enterprise requires compensation for damages from its employees according to the joint liability contract, which says that everyone is responsible, even if they do not work with milk raw materials.

The first visiting session of the Savietski district court will be held in the assembly hall of Milkavita on May 30, praca-by.info reports.

The REP trade union calls on all employees of Milkavita, who are ready to defend their rights in court, to seek legal assistance.

Homel REP trade union legal inspector Leanid Sudalenka has got a long record of work with shortages and a whole list of successful cases. This is, for example, the case of the Homel Fat Mill, when the employer demanded compensation of 75,000 rubles from 34 workers; and a lawsuit against the grocery store, where the whole team was illegally dismissed, from the head to the guards; and smaller trials – when it was possible either to free the employees from payments, or significantly reduce the amount of shortages:

"For many years we have been helping to reduce the amount of payments for sellers' shortages, and even the judges joke: "Maybe it's time for you to rename yourself into the Trade Personnel Union," – Leanid Sudalenka told reporters.

"We help those who are ready to defend their rights," – Leanid Sudalenka says.
