Yauheniya Stryzhak: New Wave Of Protests To Raise In Belarus In Autumn

The activist of the REP trade union is sure that Belarusians will take to streets again in the autumn.

The activist of the REP trade union Yauheniya Stryzhak believes that a new wave of protests is to begin this autumn, Radio Racyja reports.

– We can rest in summer, because summer is the time of vacations, but in the autumn, when people will receive new utility bills with cost for heating and other services, when prices will rise again, then there will be a new wave of protests, or at least the raise of people's discontent. And in the summer we will rest in summer cottages.

From February to April 2017, there were mass protests against the decree on "parasites" in many cities of Belarus.
