Head Of Vetka Police Department Dismissed For Hitting Minor

The incident is being investigated.

According to unofficial information, the head of the Vetka District Office of Internal Affairs was fired for hitting a minor.

As tut.by has found out, the incident happened during non-working hours in April. A police officer made a remark to a teenager standing with his friends. The teenager responded with rudeness and the officer hit him.

"The head of the Vetka District Office of Internal Affairs was fired," – a representative of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Homel Directorate of Internal Affairs confirmed to journalists, however, they did not comment on the reasons for the dismissal.

"Investigators are examining the circumstances of the conflict that occurred between an unemployed local born in 1979 and a minor born in 2001 in the city of Vetka. Currently, the IC is carrying out a set of investigative and other procedural actions, which aim is to establish an objective picture of what has happened," – the Department of Information and Public Relations of the IC Central Office informed.

It is known that examinations have been appointed to find out the state of the conflict participants.
