The amendments relate to the space time between the first and second shifts.

By the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus № 35 of May 17, 2017, amendments and additions were introduced into the sanitary norms and rules "Requirements for institutions of general secondary education", approved in 2012. Taking into account the later start of the first shift classes, to ensure their completion before 19.30, the space time between the first and second shifts was reduced to "not less than 15 minutes", www.b-g.by writes.

Earlier, when organizing the educational process in 2-11 grades, it was envisaged for at least 20 minutes. In the old version of the resolution, instead of a big 30 minute break, there could be two 20 minute breaks after the second and third lessons. Now this minimum has been reduced to 15 minutes. This paragraph is now stated as follows: "of the time length of at least 15 minutes, in the amount necessary for organizing hot meals for pupils, taking into account the number of pupils in the educational institution and the number of places in the dining hall, but not less than two, for the possibility of organizing a dynamic break." We remind that adjustments are needed due to the revision of the time the school starts.

It happened due to the fact that on May 12, Lukashenka said: "It’s not good to start lessons before 9 am." The changes also touched upon the norms of equipping various premises, organizing drinking regime, the schedule of training sessions, the daily routine, etc.
