Patriots–Political Prisoners’ Case Passed To Investigative Committee

The IC has instituted proceedings in the "case of creating an illegal armed formation."

"The Investigative Committee adopted a criminal case against a number of persons accused of committing a crime under Art. 287 (creation of an illegal armed formation) of the Criminal Code, instituted by the State Security Committee.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the illegal armed formation activities are classified as crimes against public security.

The Investigative Committee continues the procedural actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the unlawful activities of the persons involved in the case.

The criminal prosecution of the same persons under Part 3 of Art. 293 (riots) of the Criminal Code of Belarus by the State Security Committee was terminated," – the statement reads.

We remind that 14 people are behind the bars in the "patriots" case, trumped-up by the KGB.
