Russian Armoured Vehicles To Conduct Battle March To Brest

The military equipment will also pass through Vorsha, Minsk and Biaroza.

The first armored combat rally on the route Moscow-Brest-Moscow starts on June 17 in the Russian capital, the Minsk-Novosti news agency reported to the Russian Interregional Public Organization for Assistance in the Study and Exploitation of Military Equipment "Military Technical Society".

More than 15 units of demilitarized equipment, including BTR and BRDM, will depart from Poklonnaya Gora on the route Moscow-Odintsovo-Golitsyno-Mozhaisk-Vyazma-Smolensk-Vorsha-Minsk-Brest-Biaroza-Moscow. The participants of the event are planning to set a record that will be included in the Book of Records of Russia as the longest battle-march committed on the restored armored vehicles of the 20th century. They plan to overcome over 2,300 km of the road.

The memorable events in Brest on June 22 will become the culmination of the rally. Twenty of them are planned to be conducted during the battle march across the territories of Russia and Belarus.

The action was supported by the Moscow City Hall. Representatives of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries will take part in the solemn opening ceremony. The armored combat rally will be held with the support of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Historical and Cultural Complex "Stalin's Line" (Belarus), and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
