Belarus Purchases Su-30CM Fighter Aircrafts From Russia

The combat aircraft will be shifted gradually to Belarus.

Russia and Belarus signed a contract for the delivery of Su-30CM. Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugaev tol this to TASS on Tuesday.

"The contract for the supply of a lot of Su-30CM has been made. Its implementation will go step by step, in accordance with the established deadlines," - Shugaev said.

Earlier, the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Major-General Aleh Dvihaliou told TASS that the republic could purchase the combat-capable trainer aircraft Yak-130 from Russia in addition to the previously supplied eight machines, and also spoke about the intention to buy the Su-30CM from the Russian side.

The supermaneuverable fighter aircraft Su-30CM of the "4+" generation is equipped with a radar with a phased antenna array, engines with thrust vector control and canards. The aircraft is able to use modern and perspective weapons of the "air - air" and "air - surface" types. Also, the machine can be used for training pilots of the perspective multifunctional super-maneuverable single-seat fighters.

The aircraft is designed to gain air superiority, blocking enemy’s airfields in deep water; for the destruction of air, land and sea aims at any time of the day under any weather conditions.
