Euro Broke Annual Growth Record In Belarus

The weakening of the Belarusian currency is taking place against the backdrop of a noticeable fall in the Russian ruble.

The euro has set a new annual maximum after today's auctions at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange. His rate rose by 0.95% or 2.01 kopecks compared with Tuesday to 2,1404 rubles. This is the maximum value since the beginning of the year, the Belarusians and the Market website writes.

The dollar also added more than 2 kopecks. It grew by 1.07% up to 1.9219 rubles.

The Russian ruble has fallen in price by 1.12% to 3.2062 rubles per 100 Russian rubles.

The weakening of the Belarusian currency is taking place against the backdrop of a noticeable fall in the Russian ruble. Today, the dollar rate against the Russian ruble rose above 60 rubles at Moscow sites, and against the euro – more than 66. The decline in the value of the Russian currency may be due to the fall of oil quotations, which update the lows against the background of overproduction of primary raw materials.
