Pavel Seviarynets: We’ll Hurl Back With Our Friends’ Help
Pavel Seviarynets

The opposition politician is threatened with the arrest of property for unpaid fines.

The other day, the court executives warned Pavel Seviarynets, Co-Chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, that they would start "enlisting and arrest of his property" if he did not pay fines for participating in the Outraged Belarusians’ March on February 17 and the actions of solidarity with political prisoners outside the KGB building on March 31.

"They are taking revenge for the spring actions," — Pavel Seviarynets is convinced. —"I do not have the opportunity to pay these absurd fines, as our family does not have any special property — just a washing machine and a refrigerator in a rented one-bedroom apartment. Probably, they will disconnect the phone or make it unavailable ...

Unfortunately, the opportunities for solidarity remain limited - over the past year there have been a dozen such fines. If the court officers agree to installments, then we will hurl back, with the help of our friends. If not, then it will mean the order “press” has been given.
