The official representative of the Investigative Committee Yulia Hancharova informed BelTA that the Chairman of the Salihorsk district executive committee was imprisoned.

The measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied against the chairman of the Salihorsk district executive committee, suspected of receiving a bribe. "The investigation requested the prosecutor to apply this measure, the prosecutor fulfilled the request. The investigation of the criminal case continues," – Yulia Hancharova informed.

As Charter97.org reported earlier, on May 30, on the road near the village of Kamen, Kapylsky district, police officers detained the chairman of the Salihorsk district executive committee Aliaksandr Rymasheuski when he was receiving a bribe of $ 2.7 thousand.

According to investigators, the chairman of the district executive committee abused power and official authority when making decisions regarding such issues as the purchase of plant protection products, seeds and spare parts for agricultural machinery belonging to the agro-industrial enterprises and organizations of Salihorsk district for a long time.

According to the information provided by the main department for combating organized crime and corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aliaksandr Rymasheuski was regularly receiving bribes from representatives of commercial structures for resolving questions regarding repayment of debts by local agribusinesses for the products supplied. This information is being checked. A criminal case was instituted against the detainee under part 3 of Article 430 of the Criminal Code (bribery). The Article provides for imprisonment up to 15 years with confiscation of property.
