Russian Military Men Start Maneuvers near Brest

More than 800 military men and more than 100 units of equipment are involved in the exercises.

"In practice, more than 800 military men and more than 100 units of combat and special equipment are involved," the Ministry of Defence of Belarus informs.

Within the framework of the exercises, the units of the Belarusian, Russian and Serbian armies will work out issues of combating terrorism, interfax.by writes.

"One of the main objectives is to work out issues of joint actions of the armed forces of Belarus, Russia and Serbia when implementation of tasks to combat terrorism, as well as to increase the level of interaction between units within the staff and consolidated multinational units when performance of various combat missions, the Ministry of Defence informs.

According to the Ministry, there will be two stages in the exercises - the active stage will be held on June 12-14.
