Reason Of Suspension Of Minister Kaukhuta Revealed

Belarusian Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Kaukhuta was suspended from office.

Official representative of the Investigative Committee Yulia Hancharova reported this to BelTA.

"The main investigative department is investigating a criminal case of official forgery, which was initiated against a number of officials. Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Kaukhuta is involved as a suspect in this case, – Yulia Hancharova informed. – The actions of an official are qualified under Part 4 of Article 16, Part 1 of Article 427 (organization of forgery by an official) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus."

The suspect is under investigation, the measure of restraint was not applied to him. The investigation chose removal from office as a measure of procedural compulsion.
