Aliaksei Shchadrou: BT Employees Do Not Think About People

State media have made a slanderous report about a shelter for homeless people in a village near Shchuchyn.

Organizer of the shelter for the homeless in the village of Aliaksandrauka in Shchuchyn district Aliaksei Shchadrou has become the hero of the report of the official Belarusian television.

As Aliaksei explains to Radio Racyja, this report is slanderous and does not correspond to reality.

They want to destroy that God's business, to pour mud on everything. They will never show the truth: the poor used to lie in the streets, around trash cans, and they do now. And then they are taken out of Hrodna or other cities and thrown out. After all, this is actually the case. They would never catch this on video and show. It is very painful and hurtful because of what they do and how they do it. It would be better if they gave custody of the poor and homeless to the church. And then they would not know this problem, but they do not want to do it.

Aliaksei Shchadrou has been helping the homeless for five years. About a hundred homeless people from all over Belarus have become the residents of the orphanage in the village of Aliaksandrauka for the past five years. People who are in the shelter have a roof over their heads and food. They are engaged in housekeeping and pray three times a day.
