Minsker Attacks Passers-By With Knife: Two Persons Injured

The 25-year-old man faces up to 10 years in prison.

Police officers detained a 25-year-old Minsker, who attacked two men with a knife, the website of the Chief Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee informs.

The man had a conflict with two passers-by over an insignificant reason on one of the metropolitan streets.

"To solve the conflict, he took out a knife from his bag and began to attack those men. The attacker deeply cut the hand of one man and hit the other man. Riot police officers interfered. They detained the hooligan, provided the first aid to the injured and handed them over to the ambulance workers," – the Chief Directorate of Internal Affairs reported.

The law enforcers also note that the detainee was previously convicted. A criminal case under part 3 of Article 399 of the Criminal Code of Belarus was instituted against a man for committing a particularly malicious hooliganism. The maximum penalty in this case can be up to 10 years in prison.
