Lukashenka: Men In Uniform Should Pay Attention To Everything

Aliaksandr Lukashenka expressed such opinion during the meeting with the top executives of the State Secretariat of the Security Council, BelTA reports.

The ruler spoke about the implementation of Directive # 1. “I cannot say that everything is alright with discipline with Belarus,” he said.

“I cannot say that we have done everything in this field. Therefore, discipline is number one priority. It especially depends on power-wielding bodies, on the attitude of the military, the men in uniform.”

He said that they should control the situation, especially on the streets. “They should pay attention to everything, including traffic, movement of people, providing assistance if necessary. We must prove to people that we are doing everything we can. We must show that we earn our keep, as we exist for their money.” The meeting focused on the organization of joint patrolling by the military and policemen who will maintain public order in populated areas.

“The head of state has given additional tasks to law enforcement agencies today. The harvesting campaign begins in Belarus. Law enforcement agencies will also fulfill a number of important tasks here, on an urgent basis,” - State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislau Zas remarked.

The state secretary said that it will be needed to inspect the condition of harvesting equipment. Special attention will be drawn to the preservation of the harvest. “Our law enforcement agencies will take all these issues under control. The head of state has given a corresponding instruction to us today,” - he said.
