The head of the Catholic Church in Belarus criticized the authorities' policy towards foreign priests.

The head of the Catholic Church of Belarus, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, made a statement about today's relationship between the church and the state.

In particular, he noted prohibition of service to foreign clergymen in the territory of Belarus, and, therefore, the conclusion about discrimination of the Church suggests itself.

- You have long served in Moscow and actively travel. Have you encountered similar problems in other countries?

- I have not encountered the above-mentioned problems in Russia, there are no such problems in European countries. This all does not promote a good image of Belarus abroad.

I hope that the state authorities will be open to a dialogue, as often relations with a Catholic church resemble a monologue and even dictate.

It will be recalled that earlier, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz criticized the presence of paddy wagons at Catholic celebrations.
