Head Of Corrections Department: Hockey Uniform Sewed In Colony, Hockey Sticks To Be Manufactured

Sportsmen in the sports school Dynamo will be the first to try on the uniform from prisoners.
Prisoners of a penal colony have already sewn the hockey uniform for young sportsmen, besides they manufacture hockey sticks from Russian blanks, the head of Corrections Department Siarhei Daroshka said to Belarus Today, tut.by reports.
– The uniform is already sewn in the penal colony-4. Additional equipment was purchased. The uniform has been presented and approved. On August 30, we will give 50 sets of the uniform to the youth sports school Dynamo for a pilot try. Then, after listening to suggestions and comments, we will make adjustments and launch new products into mass production. Our prisoners also manufacture hockey sticks from Russian blanks. Now we discuss the possibility to manufacture the sticks from our own materials and thereby make them cheaper.
We remind, that during the Olympic meeting in May Aliaksandr Lukashenka told how to solve the problem of providing hockey equipment for children.
– As if it's a real problem! It's not a problem at all. When they began to discuss this hockey, the Minister of Internal Affairs stood up and said: "Aliaksandr Ryhoravich, what is the problem? Tell me, set me the task. We, in the penal colonies… for children. – Well, hockey players are cool, we will buy Nike skates and trousers for them. – And we will sew all the rest. We will manufacture pants and even skates." And he is right. You think we can't sew a uniform for the kids? For any sport. It will cost a penny; we will save the money. Do we need to buy some equipment to a correction facility? Then let's buy it! But nobody was up to this issue, – Aliaksandr Lukashenka said.
After the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs instructed the head of Corrections Department to tackle the issue of sewing of the form.
– I think that they will be able to sew uniforms for children, which will be quite good both in quality and in cost, – Ihar Shunevich said.
