Lukashenka: In My School Years I Had Police Record

The dictator called himself a "difficult student" and a "pushy boy."

Speaking about school discipline, Lukashenka mentioned that he once "had a record with the juvenile delinquents' department."

At the republican teachers' council the ruler advised the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunevich how to tackle such issues with teenagers, tut.by reports.

The dictator said that he didn't consider it to be a problem that most of the school staff were women. But there are questions regarding school discipline.

"Women work no worse than men, and can bring up children. Well, there is not enough discipline in schools. Mr. Shunevich should think it over and work with some students."

Lukashenka believes that the discipline was more strict when he was a school boy. And suddenly mentioned himself as an example.

"I was a difficult student. I should confess: I had a record with the juvenile delinquents' department when I was a teenager. And when a police captain came, I forgot her name, and started wagging her finger at me, my heart sank into my heels. Even though I was a pushy boy.

I mean, sometimes the police should help the school principals and teachers. There's too much freedom in our schools."
