Public Debt Of Belarus Shows Record-Breaking Growth

The state debt of Belarus has reached 40,4% of the GDP.

As of July 1, 2017, the state debt of Belarus amounted to Bn 39,681.3 million and reached 40,4% of the gross domestic product, Euroradio reports with the reference to the Ministry of Finance.

30,7% accounted for external public debt (Bn 15,576.4 million). 9,7% is the internal state debt (Bn 9,562.8 million).

As of January 1, 2017, the state debt was 39,4% of the GDP. Within six months it gradually decreased and on June 1 it was only 37,6% of the GDP. However, by July 1 it increased remarkably.
