BelNPP Equipment Tested In Russia

Three main circulating pumping units underwent tests in Russia.

The Russia Central Design Bureau of Machine Building conducted tests of three main circulating pumping units, intended for the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant. Euroradio reports referring to the group of companies Atomenergomash.

Under the contract, CDBMB will make five such units for the second under construction power unit of the Belarusian NPP.

The main circulating pumping units are an integral part of the nuclear power reactors. They are used to create circulation of the coolant in the primary circuit of the reactor and operate under high pressure conditions at temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Celsius.

The only complex in Russia for carrying out full-scale tests of pumping equipment under conditions simulating the operation of the reactor including all the parameters (pressure, temperature, type of coolant) is located in CDBMB. All the products of the enterprise supplied to the nuclear power plant are tested in various modes, which allows to detect timely all the possible deviations in performance parameters and to correct faults.
