Cost For VIP-Clinic For Lukashenka’s Cronies Will Exceed €100 Million

€ 4 million more will be withdrawn for the completion of the clinic project.

The budget of the project was estimated as approximately this sum, on September 13. Now the Minsk City Council of Deputies voted to allocate additional Bn 9,6 million (more than 4 million euros). This was recently reported by the state news agency BelTA.

Four years ago, Aliaksandr Lukashenka stated that a "compact center" would appear in Zhdanovichy, and the medical center of Lukashenka’s Administration would become the property of Minsk, the website of the Belsat TV reported.

"It would be much cheaper for the country: we give this hospital to Ladutska (the then Mayor of Minsk – ed.), and instead of it, so that the city does not have to spend $ 500 million to build a new hospital, it might be five times cheaper to build a small, compact center, "— the head of Belarus said back then.

What does Lukashenka’s clinic look like?

The total area of the complex of buildings will be 16-18 thousand square meters (of which 8-10 thousand square meters — the useful area).

The Republican Clinical Medical Center will be located on the shore of a water reservoir. It will serve up to 1900 people included in the personnel register of the head of state (with husband or wife), 332 deputies and senators (with husband or wife), and up to 3500 persons on a contractual basis.

The technical characteristics of the medical equipment of the new center must comply with the standards of the medical equipment of "high and expert-class of the European and American manufacturers."

The new medical center will have a VIP-unit with separate entrances, with an elevator, own kitchen, rest rooms, security rooms and rooms for the medical staff.

It is assumed that the constructed medical center will be delivered by December 31, 2017.
